Woodcut

These are pictures of my final woodcut from my edition of prints and also the second colour chosen. we were asked to make a woodcut based on "our story" a story we tell. The story I chose was of how i was born two months premature and dead from being choaked from the ambibical cord, I was also a blue baby as some people call it with all my veins visible. And the reason I have an orange for a head, fingers for limbs and a bag of sugar for a torso is because this was how my father described my size and for years what I thought I looked like as a baby.

Building up

This week is all about adding more to the book finding a balance between over working it. It is also becoming about changing the identity of the book. I am quite happy to change the book and draw on it stick items down as this was one of my many ideas at the start it just did not involve my own book.
